The area of Resource Circulation Engineering (Haga Laboratory), Faculty of International Resource Sciences, Akita University conducts research and development aimed at creating new resources by using "separation technologies" to process raw materials that are difficult to resource due to factors such as complexity, low-grade quality, and the presence of hazardous elements. The primary materials targeted include ores containing metals and electronic waste, but research and development also extends to agricultural waste such as rice husks.
